Fantastic project, I can't wait to see the whole film. I really enjoyed the whole web site (my first virtual experience of farming). I hope I will get a chance to see the exhibtion in Newlyn. Great stuff Barbara
Thanks. You can see the whole film under 'the film' section where it is viewable in 3 - 4 mins chunks. Keep checking the website for info on where the film will be touring.
We have really enjoyed this exhibition as we are farmers ourselves and so we can relate to all of the people in this exhibition, we were a dairy farm, but had to give up due to falling milk prices. Now we rent out half of the land and we keep a small beef herd (13) at moment can be as many as 20. and we grow our own silage. Dad works for riviera produce driving a cutting rig to supplement our income.
Thanks for your comments and glad you enjoyed the exhibition. Do spread the word to other people about the website as people's thoughts and responses to our project is really important to keep the dialogue of farming alive in different ways. The 60 mins documentary will be touring around Cornwall in 2008 so I will keep you informed when that will be.
best wishes
Barbara
